Hi! I’m Dionne Woods.

I am a mom, wife and online creative business owner living in Oklahoma City, OK. Eight years ago, I decided to open my Etsy store, The Turquoise Iris, selling vintage home accessories, hand-painted furniture, and other handmade items. Since then, I’ve shipped several hundred pieces of furniture all over the country, as well as my acrylic art.

My work consists of eye-popping color. I am a lover of all things colorful and find my inspiration in nature while striving to create a thoughtful balance of warm and cool. I love to help you find the perfect art or furniture piece for your home. My style can be described as rustic boho with a side of turquoise. My work can be identified by many layers of color and textures. I believe we should decorate our homes with what makes us happy, ignoring trends, and creating a style that belongs to us and us alone. See all of my available original work at www.theturquoiseiris.com

In 2017, I became are DIY Paint retailer selling my DIY tutorials online, started a membership group for furniture artists and developed a love for teaching women. Since then, I host online paint classes/courses and paint workshops. I am proud to say I’m a cheerleader to so many creative entrepreneurs. Encouraging women to dig deeper and reach higher has become a true love for me.
You can find me painting daily on Facebook or YouTube.

When I’m not painting, you can find me at a baseball park with my husband, Matt, watching one or both of our sons, Elijah and Holden.

Hello, I’m Jennifer Ferguson (Jenn for short)!

I’m a small city girl transplanted in Southern California (Orange County), which was a big dream of mine that I went for at the age of 47 years young. I have taken a small stencil shop I opened almost 30 years ago, with the capital from my jet skis, and turned it into a 6-figure business I am running today. Nowadays, you can find me creating at my studio, working with my membership groups or on some fabulous trip with my Honey (I live for these trips)!!

I have been self-employed for almost 30 years now and I have a ton of knowledge to share! This has led me to follow my passion of helping others by empowering women to chase their dreams! Helping them grow profitable, passionate businesses that allow them to Live Their Dreams!
Really want to know more about me??

I love to paint (it’s my heart’s passion) and help others achieve their goals. I love Saturday and Sunday mornings getting up before anyone else and having that great alone time on the couch, with just my coffee and laptop. I have a wonderful boyfriend, Dan and together we have 6 incredible children that we enjoy spending time with. I love to travel and always have to have a trip planned (it’s my carrot to work hard and have a reward)!!!

I’m still chasing my Dreams!! I plan to have a Podcast up and running by the end of this year or maybe next year!!

Hi!

Being born and raised in Mississippi, there is only one thing that I really would like for you to know about me… I love a good hot buttery biscuit! But more than that, I would love serving them up to you on some beautiful vintage china, with a starched and pressed linen cloth napkin and the most delicate teaspoon for you to use while drizzling some warm honey all over it. It wouldn’t be complete, however, without a side dish of ripe sliced peaches, a teacup filled with some rich French roasted coffee, with the cream and sugar prepared just right in their own individual serving pieces. Would you like a Bible verse that’s been written on a 3X5 card to greet you at the breakfast table, too, with a place setting that’s been personalized and with a small vase of some yellow miniature roses placed to the side of your juice glass?

If what you just read resonates with you in any way; if you felt the welcome mat of hospitality being placed right at your feet …. then welcome to Interior Inspirations. We are a business that began in 2004 that allows us to enter into the homes and lives of families and do all we can to help them have and experience the Home Sweet Home the long for. We offer complete remodeling, renovating, redecorating services as well, and it comes with plenty of suggestions, tips, ideas and encouragement for YOU, the homemaker.

I love meeting women right where they are in their season of life and helping them create the home they long for. If you are a mom to young children, then what you just read in the opening paragraph more than likely isn’t happening … and that is totally ok! But if you are nearing the season of being an empty nester, then the thoughts of actually having a sit-down, prepared, and unhurried Saturday morning breakfast with your husband just may be something you’re looking forward to.

Interior Inspirations offers help in not only personal aspirations, but in business helps as well. How to be organized and orderly while experiencing genuine success. How to prioritize your days. How to rise above the demands of the day and invest in the priorities. Serving and working with excellence … and what that looks like for you. How to keep the creative juices going while neck deep in the logistics of running your own business.

Women are recognizing more and more that Home is not about keeping up with the latest trends on Instagram or Pinterest; nor is Home about what HGTV programs say they should be. Instead, homemakers truly are discovering that HOME actually begins with their own heart.  When a homemakers heart is turned toward home, the entire family benefits in some pretty amazing ways!

I look forward to my work every day because as fun as it is to redesign a space, to redecorate a home, and to remodel a room, it is so much more fulfilling to know that “her”, the homemaker, of that very special place, has been …. inspired! In her heart and in her home. THAT is why we are called “Interior Inspirations.” It is always first about inspiring the interior of her heart and then inspiring the interior of her home.

Rip and I have 5 children from ages 24-17, and they are incredibly unique and some of our favorite people!  Rip and I love the outdoors, so get us near trees, bodies of water, plenty of land, and the sound of bullfrogs and we’re good to go! We keep life simple because we’ve found that when we do, life is FULL of blessings!

I’d love to connect with you on our YouTube channel – My Interior Inspirations, our blog myinteriorinspirations.com, my Instagram.

Thankful,

Lisa

Ann Schneider

When asked what she feels her biggest success has been in her 23-year career as a brick & mortar retailer Ann Schneider responded with two words “serving others.”

Ann, alongside her partner Vicki Mistele, has run The Front Porch, a home décor & clothing boutique outside of Milwaukee for over 20 years. The Front Porch is a 10,000 square foot unique haven for women who love learning how to decorate their homes as well as add fun fashion to their wardrobes!

Named as Gift & Decorative Accessories “25 Top Gifted Retailers” nationwide in 2014 and also as one of Home Accents Todays top “50 Retail Stars,” The Front Porch has become a destination for high-quality silk floral, home décor, gifts, vintage and DIY supplies, as well as a complete women’s clothing boutique featuring clothing and accessories for women of all sizes.

Ann also works within the wholesale industry as a product development consultant and showroom designer twice a year in both Atlanta & Las Vegas. She feels seeing the retail business from both sides gives her a unique position in the industry as well as in her coaching business.

Ann recently turned her attention to mentoring other retailers—especially in the challenging area of wholesale buying and attaining better margins in their business. She has recently launched a “Retail Buyer’s Club” where members follow Ann ‘virtually’ to all the wholesale markets throughout the year so they get the feel of attending trade shows from the comfort of their home. Teaching other retailers how to become more savvy buyers is her passion and a way to ‘give back’ to the retail industry. Her membership is currently in beta form and will re-open again in 2019!

You can reach Ann via email at frontporchfun@gmail.com , visit her website at https://ilovethefrontporch.com or her Front Porch Facebook page at https://facebook.com/frontporchfans

At University Pickers we are family! The owners are sisters, the “Picker Sisters”!

It all started with a tiny booth and a love for all things old and beautiful. The store came next. Throw in some incredible, creative vendors, a vision for bigger and better, and baby, we’re in business!

Cindi Pope and Trish Gleason grew up in middle TN with a mom that has a flair for decorating and a dad that knows his business. Mom taught us early how to shop for a bargain and make simple things beautiful. Dad taught us hard work and how to laugh at ourselves. Growing up in the Nashville area, we both learned to embrace country chic!

Last year they were awarded “2017 Retailer of the Year” for their commitment to growth, community outreach, and quality customer service. As little girls with opposite personalities, they clashed in a tiny, shared bedroom, once even drawing a dividing line down the center and threatening bodily harm to any that crossed. Thankfully, they grew up, found Jesus, and learned how to share. Now best friends and business partners, they work together using each other’s strengths to build up other small businesses in the booth industry. The store comes first, but they are also involved in local charitable events, hosting creative retreats and classes, coaching & hosting a yearly conference for small business owners in this industry.

Cindi & Trish love what they do. Faith & family are central to who they are. They love to help other small businesses grow and thrive, and they strive to provide customers what they can’t find in big box stores: local, handmade and unique items.

While You're In Memphis

Must See

Located off historic Beale Street. The Rock n Soul Museum follows Memphis history of music and tells the story of musical pioneers who, for the love of music, overcame racial and socio-economic barriers to create the music that shook the entire world.

Don’t Go Home Without

Gibson Beale Street showcases factory tours. Gibson Guitars date back to the early 1900s and while the factories in Bozeman, Montana and Nashville, Tennessee build all of the electric models, purists come to Memphis for the hollow body and semi-hollow body, semi-acoustic guitars. On your tour, you can watch skilled luthiers as they handcraft some of the finest guitars in the world.

Tips

The new Memphis Music Hall of Fame (MMHoF) celebrates visionaries who’ve made music in this city that resonates around the world. Some are household names, some aren’t. But spend an hour or so in their Hall of Fame, and you’ll see how they’re all connected to the soundtrack of your life. The MMHoF has been inducting members – 47 so far – since 2012, but the museum is new as of August 2015. Memphis is a pilgrimage for those wanting to visit the birthplace of the blues, of soul and of rock & roll. On Beale Street, W.C. Handy put down on paper the first written blues music. Elvis, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash all recorded at the historic Sun Records, which is now a museum. Graceland, the second most-visited home in America, welcomes visitors from around the world who yearn for a peek into the life of “the King” Beyond the music, Tennessee’s largest city also offers much more. It has more sunny days each year than Miami, and combines southern tradition and hospitality with modern amenities. You’ll enjoy great dining (be sure to sample the barbecued ribs), art galleries and exciting nightlife.
